ASTROGLIDE Slides Into Pride with Limited-Edition Bottle and $60K Donation

READ TIME: 2 MIN.

How will you be celebrating Pride this year? If it includes a bit of frolic, ASTROGLIDE's latest project might come in handy. The company has been lubing up customers for 30 years, and turns its focus this June on the LGBTQ community through a new give-back initiative.

In addition to the continued support of its local San Diego Pride celebrations, this year's campaign will support seven LGBTQ community centers, venues, and organizations around the country – each of which has been crucial for providing support, community, and, often, chosen family for those that visit them.

ASTROGLIDE chose organizations across New York City, Boston and Los Angeles to receive a combined total of $60,000 in donations to help them keep their doors open and their communities connected and strong.

Recipients of ASTROGLIDE's initial philanthropic donations include The NYC LGBT Community Center, Julius', The Boston Alliance of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Youth (BAGLY), Club Café, and The Los Angeles LGBT Center. Through a partnership with Los Angeles' The Abbey, The AIDS Monument in West Hollywood, and The Trans Wellness Center will also receive donations.

"The LGBTQ+ community has played a key role in ASTROGLIDE brand advocacy during our many years in business and it's important that we recognize and return that support," said Lisa O'Carroll, BioFilm CEO. "It's been a tough year and isolating for many, and we are committed to making a difference for the organizations that have helped many in the community weather this storm. We see this initiative as just the start to what we hope will be long-term relationships with our LGBTQ+ community partners."
