BPX 2011 :: Highlights the Hookies

With the rites of spring in full swing, New York City's Black Party weekend was off to a tantalizing start at the BPX: Black Party Expo and to kick things off...there's nothing like a sexy beauty pageant celebrating the glory of the masculine form in all its sweaty goodness. The BPX featured some of the leather trade's finest wears - if you hadn't gotten your gear together in time for the evening's dance marathon, you could fittingly suit up in tailored Black Party splendor from The Leather Man or Lethal Wear, two of the events biggest draws.
Sprinkled amidst the various vendors participating in the marketplace were several particularly erotic offerings, from Lucas Entertainment's latest releases or the edgier fair from Dark Alley Media. Paraphernalia and accessories to complete your look were also widely available, and masculinely centric fashion lines like NY Jox. Certainly the greatest treat the BPX delivered was the featured sneak peek at the lighting and production design of the fully-transformed Roseland Ballroom, this year transformed into a futuristically decadent cloning lab ready to gestate your deepest, darkest desire.
And The Winner Is...
At the center of the weekend is of course the biggest, hottest dance party of the season the Saint at Large's� Black Party. The annual event draws revelers from around the world heralding the start of spring. To rile the crowd of spectators gathered on the opening night, comic personality Leslie Jordan hosted The Hookies, along with the gorgeous drag-antics of Dallas Dubois. This year's International Escort Awards presented by Rentboy.com awarded the creme de la creme of the adult entertainment industry including the crowning of Rafael Alencar winner of the Best International Escort of 2011. Rafael Alencar also took the title in the preliminary event as Mr. New York Escort of 2011.
Highlights of the evening included wins by leading rentboy contender Samuel Colt who took the Best Pornstar Escort Award was the award given to Kyle King for his Best Assets. King wasn't in the house to accept the award so the honor was bestowed on runner-rump Theo Richards who graciously accepted, proving an ample successor.
