New York, NY - Superfly Presents, the co-founders and producers of Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival and Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival, announced that it will be producing The Great GoogaMooga, a food, drink and music festival in Brooklyn's Prospect Park on May 19th and 20th, 2012.

Spanning across the park's Nethermead area and making for the ultimate sensory experience, GoogaMooga will host approximately 75 food vendors, 35 brewers, 30 winemakers and 20 live music performances. General Admission at GoogaMooga is free but attendees must register to obtain a ticket to the event; the festival has the capacity to host tens of thousands of food and music fans per day.

In creating the festival's look, feel and tastes, Superfly took a collaborative approach, working with leading personalities and talents in the hospitality industry such as Anthony Bourdain, Chef, Author and Host of No Reservations and The Layover, David Rockwell, Founder and CEOof the Rockwell Group, Allan Benton, Owner and Curer-in-Chief of Benton's Smoky Mountain Country Hams, Marcus Samuelsson, Chef and Owner of Red Rooster, Eddie Huang, Chef and Owner of BaoHaus, Paul Grieco, Sommelier and Co-owner of Terrior, Terrior TriBeCa, and Hearth, Garrett Oliver, Brewmaster of Brooklyn Brewery, and Darin & Greg Bresnitz, the Brooklyn food and music connoisseurs known as Finger on the Pulse, and Just Food, a local non-profit devoted to sustainable food programs.

GoogaMooga will bring some of New York's most loved dining destinations to Prospect Park.

Among the festival's growing list of vendors are Tom Colicchio's Colicchio & Sons, April Bloomfield andKen Friedman's The Spotted Pig, Roberta's, Christina Tosi's Momofuku Milk Bar, Daniel Boulud's DBGB Kitchen & Bar, M.Wells, Do or Dine, Frankies 457 Spuntino, Russ & Daughters and Big Gay Ice Cream (please see below for a full list of participants).

Superfly has a track record of creating unforgettable festivals and has increasingly expanded on the culinary personality of its events. Bonnaroo (Manchester, TN), named among the "50 moments that changed the history of rock and roll" by Rolling Stone, features a Brooers Festivalwith micro-breweries and communal tables, and the festival recently introduced The Food Truck Oasis which spotlights food trucks from the Southeast.

At Outside Lands (San Francisco, CA), concertgoers attend as much for headliners like Radiohead and Arcade Fire as for the festival's "A Taste of the Bay Area" and "Wine Lands," where nearly 100 of the most exciting tastemakers in Northern California can be found. The concert has received national attention for changing the face of concessions with a "rock star" line-up of food and wine.

"We have two ongoing conversations in the office, which bands to see and what restaurants to try. Aside from our personal passion for food and music, we've seen how the two bring people together in a way unlike any other. We're grateful for the opportunity to host GoogaMooga in such a beautiful location and to highlight the city's incredible culture while doing so," said Superfly Co-Founder, Jonathan Mayers.

"Brooklyn is the Creative Capital of New York City and an international culinary destination, and I can't think of a better place than our beautiful Prospect Park to host the inaugural Great GoogaMooga food, drink and music festival. Kudos to Superfly Presents, the Prospect Park Alliance, the New York City Parks Department and all of their partners for bringing The Great GoogaMooga-not to mention economic activity, tens of thousands of visitors and a spotlight on our borough's and city's diverse vendors, brewers, winemakers and musicians-to the 'big stage' of Brooklyn, U.S.A.!" said Brooklyn Borough President, Marty Markowitz.

"New York City and the borough of Brooklyn are celebrated for their thriving culture, vibrant music scene and exotic foods. There's no better way to enjoy all three at once than in Brooklyn's backyard, Prospect Park. We are thrilled to add The Great GoogaMooga to our long list of free events going on in Parks this spring," said New York City Department of Parks & Recreation Commissioner, Adrian Benepe.

"Prospect Park is delighted to be the location for The Great GoogaMooga. We know that this will be a wonderful celebration of food, music and Prospect Park - three things that make Brooklyn such a wonderful place to live, work and play," said Prospect Park Administrator and President of the Prospect Park Alliance, Emily Lloyd.

Superfly's festivals are unique for being imaginative events that transport crowds into another realm. Raising the bar even higher at GoogaMooga, Superfly brought on the award-winning David Rockwell of the Rockwell Groupas Advisor and Collaborative Designer.

With over twenty-five years in the hospitality industry, the Rockwell Group is renowned for designing spaces that encourage human connection. GoogaMooga uniquely marks the firm's first foray into a food, drink and music festival. Rockwell's GoogaMooga designs will have an elevated sense of playfulness, be guided by the notion that eating and drinking are at their best when in the context of a fun, communal environment, and will use eco-friendly materials.

GoogaMooga will have eight different food and drink pavilions with designs and menus according to select themes. These include the Hamageddon, The UrBARN and the Beer, Wine, Burger, Sweet, Coffee, and Pizza Experiences. In-depth details will be revealed in the coming weeks, but here is a snapshot of what is to come:
