GoogaMooga to Plant Seed Bombs in Brooklyn

NEW YORK, N.Y. - Superfly Presents is collaborating with the non-profit, sustainable food organization, Just Food, to host the UrBarn experience at its newest food, drink and music festival, The Great GoogaMooga, coming to Brooklyn's Prospect Park this May (19-20).
The Urbarn pavilion was designed by Pratt Institute architecture and industrial design students in collaboration with the award-winning Rockwell Group and Pratt's Center for Sustainable Design Studies. Urbarn isa visual representation of Just Food's mission to connect local farms with New York City communities and will feature exhibits, interactive activities, and educational programming on sustainability and the local food system. Festival attendees are invited to visit Just Food at the Urbarn for activities including:
� Programming: Join sustainable food experts Dan Kluger of ABC Kitchen, Adam Kaye from Blue Hill at Stone Barns, Jacquie Berger from Just Food, and Fleisher's Grass-fed & Organic Meats for a series of demos, talks, and panel discussions on sustainability, local sourcing, and more!
� A Journey of Two Tomatoes Exhibit: Where does our food come from? What impact do our food choices have on our environment and on our personal health? In order to find out, we'll follow two distinct paths: the journey of a local and organic tomato and the journey of an industrial and conventional tomato.
� Seed Bomb Station: Join the guerilla gardening movement and beautify your own piece of NYC. Buy or make your own seed bomb - a compact pack of seeds, clay and soil - to throw in your backyard, empty lots or community gardens to beautify your neighborhood.
"We always knew the sustainable food movement, and its local leaders, would have a strong presence at the festival," said Jonathan Mayers, co-founder of Superfly Presents. "It's been a true collaboration coming up with the concept, spirit and design, and we hope festival goers take advantage of everything UrBarn will have to offer."

Just Food is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that connects communities in all five New York City boroughs with fresh, locally grown food. Just Food provides regional farmers and food producers, CSA organizers and everyday eaters with the resources and support they need to establish and experience healthy food systems-in every neighborhood.
Since 1995, Just Food has pioneered the sustainable food programs on which many CSAs, farmers' markets, and farm-to-food pantry programs are built today. Just Food serves thousands of New Yorkers by providing urban communities with a framework for growing, and knowing, healthy food.
