CAPE TOWN, South Africa - For those seeking niche accommodation in Cape Town, The Glen Boutique Hotell is a gay-friendly four star establishment that offers a luxurious place to stay in a breathtaking setting.
Situated in the world-renowned area of Sea Point in Cape Town, the Glen is close to all the most sought after Cape Town destinations including beaches, The V&A Waterfront and superb dining destinations serving up a host of culinary delights.
"At The Glen, we really wanted to create something special for our guests and create a lavish, open, welcoming and home far away from home atmosphere. As a boutique hotel, we are not tied to the cold and clinical ideas that often go along with traditional hotel services, with weather, sun and beaches like we get here, it's almost impossible to not soak up the friendliness and relaxation that Cape Town imbues you with," says Izak Calitz of The Glen Hotel.
Recently upgraded with eight new rooms and a penthouse, The Glen now offers a total of 24 rooms. Like all the other outstanding luxury suites, the new rooms will offer a host of lavish amenities and include furnishings to the likes of queen size beds and mountain or sea views.
The Glen also boasts exclusive on site services such as a full service spa providing all the usual services such as a Swedish sauna and a Jacuzzi as well as massages, including aromatherapy, Swedish massages and sports massages.
"At the Glen we've come up with some unique treatments that incorporate all of the most enjoyed spa treatments, including treatments where two therapists work in synchronisation all over the body, a treatment that has to be experienced to be appreciated. We've also made sure we bring in the best cosmetic products for our highly skilled therapists to use and of course, a spa treatment is all the more effective with the ocean waves breaking just a short distance away,"
The hotel also offers continental or full English breakfasts, as well as an a la carte menu, which can be enjoyed on the terrace overlooking the stunning outdoor pool or at the restaurant.
"Cape Town beaches are enchanting and offer specific gay beaches for those wanting to soak up some sun and enjoy the scenery of the mountain or on the beach. Guests are also spoilt for choice when it comes to cuisine and shopping with the Cape Quarter Shopping Centre just around the corner," concludes Calitz.
