Boston, MA - Bon Me Food Trucks and Cambridge restaurant East by Northeast (ExNE) are teaming up to host a Picnic Pop up at Rings Fountain on the Rose Kennedy Greenway on Wednesday, July 25th.

The event will take place between 5pm and 9pm. Tickets will be $15 online and in advance at the Bon Me Truck, and $18 the day of the event. The rain date is scheduled for Thursday, July 26th. Picnic blankets will be provided upon request.

It will be a relaxing evening on the scenic Greenway venue full of food and fun to help give Bostonians a chance to embrace the pop up craze that has been sweeping the nation. The event will also help serve as a premiere to the brick and mortar restaurant Bon Me plans to open in the late fall.

Leading the culinary adventure will be Bon Me's Chef and Co-Owner Alison Fong, and ExNe's Chef Philip Tang. Tang was named Best Up and Coming Chef in 2010 for Boston Magazine.

"We're really excited to be a part of something so fun and exciting," says Fong. "The food will be great, the venue is beautiful, it's sure to be an excellent time."

The custom fusion menu will consist of a chilled soup shooter, a flavor fuse between the Bon Me Sandwich and a filling made by ExNE, a fresh seasonal vegetable side, and a sweet dessert. Vegetarian options will be available.

"It's going to be great hosting this event on the Greenway," says Bon Me Co-Owner Patrick Lynch. "[Bon Me] has worked closely with the Greenway, and we're happy to keep moving our relationship forward with this pop up at Rings fountain, which is a stunning location."

Individuals interested in attending can also take part in the opportunity to win free tickets through a social media promotion Bon Me Foods is running. They are posting special Tweets (@bonme) and Facebook (www.facebook.com/bonmefoods) posts to their followers, and will pick winners to give free tickets to at random from people who retweet or share these posts.
