About the Mews
The Mews Restaurant and Cafe, established as an eating and drinking society 50 years ago and now one of New England's most popular gathering spots, is celebrating this milestone with a year of distinctive events, new and retro menu items, original drinks, giveaways, and special guest appearances. The Mews offers casual and fine dining on two levels, and is known for attracting celebrities as well as being the locals' favorite. Set on the beach with views of the harbor and the shores of the Outer Cape, The Mews is surrounded by art galleries and just steps from the Provincetown Art Association and Museum on Commercial Street.

About the Oscars at the Mews
The custom software was created by programmer Edmund Teo. After each participant fills in a paper ballot, the information is input.

During the show's commercial breaks, Ron Robin displays the screens showing the participants' choices and their relative positions of correct answers (Mews staff can participate but are not eligible for prizes) and how all participants voted as a group. In the case of a tie, a theater or Oscar question will be asked to determine the final winners.

Bar opens at 5:30, dinner starts at 6. Ballots may be picked up anytime from 5:30 on. Ballots collected at 8. Show goes to 11 or so and winners are announced at the end of the show.
