EDGE READ TIME: 2 MIN.

NYC Pride announced today that the 28th annual Dance on the Pier would be returning to Hudson River Park's Pier 26. Pier 26 will also be home to NYC Pride's annual women's event, Teaze (formerly Rapture on the River), and the Rally, the opening event of Pride weekend. Past NYC Pride performers include Cher, Lady Gaga, Whitney Houston, Janet Jackson, Jennifer Lopez, Jennifer Hudson and many more.

"We're thrilled to be back on Pier 26 again for this year! After last year's landmark performance from Cher we believe we will continue to deliver the pinnacle Pride event of the weekend. Set next to a world class skyline, Pier 26 provides an unforgettable setting for the official closing event of our annual Pride events," said Chris Frederick, Managing Director.

Dance on the Pier is NYC Pride's largest fundraising and community support initiative. The event's production committee awards over $45,000 in grants to LGBT and LGBT-friendly nonprofits and community organizations each year. The event also supplies NYC Pride with critical operating revenue and pulls in countless visitors, driving attendance to NYC Pride's other official events as well as various unofficial celebratory Pride events throughout the city.

A huge draw for the event is the combination of heavy-hitting DJs and well-known performers. Spinning this year's Dance on the Pier are DJ Pagano and DJ GRIND.

DJ Pagano began his legendary career performing at well-known clubs throughout his native Italy. Around the turn of the new millennium, Pagano continued to establish himself through residencies at two of London's most notorious clubs: Heaven and Fabric.

His remixes and original productions have made their way into the top ten on official dance music charts around the world and he's played many of the circuit's largest events, including White Party Palm Springs, Alegria in New York, and Divers/Cit in Montreal.

DJ GRIND has headlined some of the nation's largest circuit events, including GayDays, Winter Party Festival, and Matine Las Vegas. His uplifting vocal house has scored him time in clubs all across North America, from New York City to Vancouver. On top of all that, he's a producer, boasting official remixes for the likes of Jessica Sutta, Mel B, Kimberly Locke and Cher.

Mo George, Dance Director, added, "Dance on the Pier continues to prove itself as a legendary event on the gay circuit. Our phenomenal space and top-level talent will ensure another successful year. Get your tickets, and get them early. Trust me."

Tickets for this year's Dance on the Pier will go on sale April 1. For ticket pricing and additional event information, visit nycpride.org/events/dance-pier.
