Anti-Gay Protester Gets a Mothers' Day Slushie to the Face

An anti-gay demonstrator in Michigan, who held a sign on Mothers Day that read, "Thank your mom today for not being gay," totally got Glee'd by another woman, NBC-affiliate WOOD-TV reports.

The station sent a photojournalist to an intersection in Grandville, Mich., on Sunday to interview Christine Weick, the woman holding the anti-gay sign, after WOOD-TV was sent photos of Weick and another man who was holding a sign that read, "Thank your mom if you're not a bigot 'Judge not.'"

As the photojournalist began to talk to Weick, another woman, Jessica Prince, came up to her and dumped a slushie on her. WOOD-TV reports the two women then got into an altercation with Prince swearing and giving the middle finger.

"Take a step towards me, you're gonna get it," Weick said to Prince, holding up a can of pepper spray. She then said it was illegal to throw a slushie at someone and that she would spray Prince if she felt attacked.

"Can you leave the slushie part out? I don't want to go to jail," Prince asked the news station.

Weick called the police, before she was Glee'd, because a teen who disagreed with her views was making her uncomfortable. When police arrived, Weick told them she wanted to press charges against Prince. Police surveyed the intersection Weick demonstrated in to make sure there were no other incidents.

"Truth is hate to those that hate the truth, and this is the truth," Weick told the local station. "They don't like it and they label me a hater, and it isn't that at all. I love them enough to tell them they are on the wrong path."

A man named Zach Hoag later joined Weick, holding a sign that read, "But two moms can be fabulous!"

"Love one another. I think that two moms or two dads can love and nurture a child just the exact same way a mother and father could," he said.

Hoag wasn't the only one to counter protest Weick. Another man held a sign that read, "Fuck her," and another woman held a sign that read, "I
WOOD-TV reports a number of drivers honked their horns at the signs and one woman yelled out the car window saying, "I'm gay and I have children. I think you're sick."
