Michael Sam's BF Dated a Gay Porn Star, is Linked to Mobsters

Michael Sam has been in the spotlight all week, after being the first openly gay football player to be drafted to the National Football League and for sparking a controversy for giving his boyfriend a quick peck after finding out the good news while the cameras rolled. But not much has been revealed about the boo Sam kissed...until now.

The athlete's mystery man is Vito Cammisano, 23, a college swimmer who attended the University of Missouri, where Sam went. Cammisano was on the school's swim team from 2000 to 2012, Sports Grid reports. The swimmer majored in communications, came out three years ago and graduated in 2013.

But according to Str8UpGayPorn, Sam isn't the only famous boyfriend Cammisano's had. The hunky swimmer reportedly dated gay porn star Austin Wilde, who has starred in a number of films, including "Humungous Cocks 9," "Fuck Machine" and "Wet Dream," Queerty notes. He also owns the gay porn company GuysInSweatPants (NSFW).

The two casually dated throughout 2013 but broke up last summer.

Str8UpGayPorn says they obtained exclusive photos of Cammisano and Wilde together, including a pic with Cammisano's legs in a leather suspension swing and another picture of what appears to be the swimmer's back, covered in red marks.

It was also revealed this week that Cammisano has ties to the Mafia. According to a report by the New York Daily News, the athlete's late grandfather was the Mob boss William Cammisano, aka Willie the Rat. His father is Gerlarmo (Jerry) Cammisano, 60, who "followed in the family's shady business and ended up doing 14 months in prison for running a Kansas City-based gambling ring, according to records" the Daily News writes.

The newspaper also reports there is no evidence that Vito Cammisano has been involved with crimes of the infamous Civella family -- a Kansas City crime family, headed by mobster Nicholas Civella, according to Wikipedia.

"He's been a pleasant, pleasant boy all his life," Vito Cammisano's aunt, Cathy Nigro, told the Daily News.

The athlete's grandfather was the boss of the Civella crime family until he died in 1995. In 1989, he was thrown into the spotlight after refusing to answer questions by a Senate committee about mob crimes in Kansas City.

In 2011, Vito Cammisano's father pleaded guilty to charges he ran a $3.5 million illegal sports betting ring.
