PopUps: Danity Kane Implodes

Well that didn't take long.

Just a year and three months after Danity Kane reunited for a comeback tour and album the pop girl group announced they've called it quits after two members of the trio got into a physical fight, TMZ reports.

According to the celebrity gossip site, singer Aubery O'Day got sucker punched by Dawn Richard on Monday during a recording session.

"Sadness does not even remotely begin to describe what I feel right now," O'Day said.

Shannon Bex commented: "I now must walk away feeling used and manipulated."

From the start of their reunion, the group, which was created during the third season of MTV's "Making the Band" in 2005, seemed to be in trouble -- former member Audrea FImbres bowed out of the reunion not long after it was announced.

TMZ reports their new album is finished but it's unknown if it will ever see the light of day.

The group posted a full statement to their Twitter, which you can read here. The statement has notes from O'Day, Bex and a joint note from O'Day and Bex -- Richard did not leave a note.

"It is infinitely harder to make a group work than a solo act, and that was the attraction and excitement for us," O'Day and Bex' note reads in part. "We wanted to succeed when confronted with the ultimate challenge. We may not have been able to get everyone on the same page. However, we still remain committed to the idea that talented women can come together to create something bigger than themselves. When that moment happens, true history will be made."

Richard has yet to comment about the split.
