Air Hostess Pam Ann Flies Into New York For Six Hilarious Shows, "FLIGHT 72"
EDGE READ TIME: 2 MIN.
Airhostess Pam Ann is steering her plane in rapid descent straight for The Triad Theatre this summer in her most explosive comedy show yet! In "FLIGHT 72," the ferociously fashionable, sixties-inspired Pam Ann -- who has toured with Cher and crewed private jets for Elton John -- takes aim at the numerous airline calamities making news today. From the depressed German Wings pilot to hackers taking control of planes through the in-flight entertainment system to Johnny Depp launching the war on terriors, all the latest air travel headlines are stripped bare and poked fun at.
"FLIGHT 72" crash lands into New York for six shows at the Triad Theater (158 West 72nd St): June 2,3,5,9,10 and 12. Tickets available online at www.pamann.com.
"It's great to be back home in NYC," says Pam Ann. "It's the first time in years I've been in one place for longer than four weeks. I feel inspired again!"
Pam Ann spent this past winter traveling the friendly skies. "I have been to Geneva, Paris, Miami, Australia twice, London four times, Los Angeles twice."
While in Los Angeles, she did get to make two important pit stops. "I attended the Golden Globes and the Oscars which were lifelong dreams! But when I finally got home to New York, I freaked out. I realized I hadn't booked work the summer. It simply slipped my fabulous mind!"
Luckily, New York's Triad Theatre was anxious to welcome back their favorite air hostess. "The Triad is the most divine theatre," continues Pam. "It's like a teenie weenie Broadway house. It means I can interact with the audience and really serve the hell out of each and every one of them. Well, not the ones in the back. Those cheap bastards can bring their own damn peanuts."
In her performances, Pam Ann pokes fun at air travel, identifying the individual quirks of some of the biggest international airlines (and their stereotypes) and mixing in a generous dose of camp, humor and glamour. Passengers embark on a journey from security check-in to boarding to landing.
Pam Ann is the alter ego of Australian comic Caroline Reid. Reid's portrayal of the outrageous airhostess has been featured in advertising campaigns for British Airways and Sky Team.In fact, as the celebrity spokeswoman of Sky Team Terminal 4 at Heathrow, Pam Ann is featured on all in-flight video programming and has been featured on CNN and CNBC. Pam Ann has appeared in promotions for KLM/Air France, JetBLue, Lufthansa, British Airways, Qantas, SAS and British carrier EasyJet uses her videos in their training.
In Australia, Pam Ann starred in her own television talk show, "The Pam Ann Show" on the national Foxtel channel. She also hosted Australia's live broadcast of Mardi Gras that aired in over two million households. Even Madonna is a fan, describing Pam as "cruelly funny".
Pam Ann's concert DVDs, "Come Fly With Me" and "Pam Ann Nonstop: Live from New York City" are available on Amazon.com. Pam Ann also has a travel app on iTunes.
