Ace Hotel New York hosts an NYC premiere party for "Out in the Night," an award-winning documentary featuring one of our very own Beyond Measure winners, Renata Hill, on Monday, June 22 at 7 p.m.

This gripping film by blair dorosh-walther follows the lives of four African-American lesbians from Newark, N.J., as they face the charges and convictions for defending themselves in an anti-LGBT attack. It's an empowering story about safety, the queer scene and self-defense. A panel discussion with director blair dorosh-walther, Renata Hill, Patreese Johnson, Terrain Dandridge and Venice Brown will follow the screening. "Out in the Night" has its national television premiere on PBS's acclaimed POV documentary series later that evening at 10 p.m. (check local listings). The film will stream on www.pbs.org/pov/outinthenight from June 23 to July 23.

Following the panel discussion will be a reception hosted by The New York chapter of Black Lives Matter. A cash bar by The Breslin Bar & Dining Room will run throughout the course of the evening.
