55 Gallons of Lube: Amazon Prime Day's Best or Worst Deal?

Amazon Prime Day didn't go exactly how execs probably hoped on Wednesday. As the Associated Press reported, the online retailer bragged it would offer huge sales, better than Black Friday's deals, but many shoppers who subscribe to the $99 Prime service felt cheated.

But if you're someone who could use a deal on a 55 gallon barrel of lube, then Prime Day may have worked out for you after all, the Hollywood Reporter points out.

Though it may be one of Amazon's strangest Prime Day discounts, those searching for a large quantity of lubricant, may have lucked out by purchasing the Passion Natural water-based lube Wednesday.

"What are you going to do with all this lube?! Wrestling match? Biggest adult party ever? If you are looking for a simply jaw-dropping amount of lube, Passion Natural Water-Based Lubricant is ready to get the fun started with this 55 gallon drum!" reads the product's description on Amazon. "With its superb formula you will have a natural feel that keeps you moist longer and also works great with all toy materials. Easily washes away with warm water and mild soap.

"You may never run out of lube again! Size: 55 gallons. Note: Includes pump. Ships via freight due to weight limit," the description reads.

The comments on the lube are unsurprisingly hilarious:

"As UPS discretely unloaded my 55 gallon drum, the driver accidentally spilled it into my driveway. Any amount of cars can now fit into the garage," one user wrote in 2013, giving the lube a 4/5 star rating.

"I'm surprised by the high price. It would be cheaper if they sold it in bulk. I'll wait until they release a three pack," another wrote.
