Hollywood's LGBTQ community and allies, with the most talented and irreverent stars, will gather at the Hollywood Palladium to celebrate "TrevorLIVE Los Angeles," an annual comedy, music, and award show benefitting The Trevor Project on Sunday, December 6, 2015.

Acknowledging the LGBTQ advocacy of community leaders, The Trevor Project will recognize HBO's President of Programming, Michael Lombardo, as the Trevor Hero Honoree; and The Walt Disney Company as the Trevor 20/20 Visionary Honoree, which will be accepted by Chairman of Walt Disney International, Andy Bird. This year's show will be hosted by Joel McHale and is under the guidance of Special Guest Director and Trevor Board member Adam Shankman.

"The Trevor Project believes in a future where all LGBTQ youth have a chance to succeed and have their dreams come true. We are proud to honor HBO's President of Programming, Michael Lombardo, and The Walt Disney Company, two longtime supporters and advocates who are paving the way for a brighter future for LGBTQ youth," states Abbe Land, Executive Director and CEO of The Trevor Project.

Michael Lombardo instills LGBTQ equality both into the workplace and into his personal values through his family, which played a role in inspiring Vice President Joe Biden to announce his support for marriage equality in 2012. By overseeing all of HBO and sibling network CINEMAX's original programming, including LGBTQ-themed shows such as the series "Looking" and the original movie "The Normal Heart," as well as "Game of Thrones," "Girls," and documentaries like "The Case Against 8," he's helping bring LGBTQ stories into the forefront of television.

Lombardo also serves as a role model for LGBTQ youth through his service on the boards of The Paley Center, The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, GLSEN (Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network), and Film Independent.

Chairman of Walt Disney International, Andy Bird, will accept the Trevor 20/20 Visionary Award for The Walt Disney Company, which will be honored for fostering safe and respectful environments for the LGBTQ community.

Abbe Land continues, "So many people benefit from The Walt Disney Company and Michael Lombardo's commitment to raising awareness, advocating for equal rights, and changing the future for our LGBTQ youth. We look forward to celebrating these amazing honorees at TrevorLIVE Los Angeles."

Hosting the event will be Joel McHale, comedian, actor, writer, and television producer, known for hosting the television talk show "The Soup" and portraying Jeff Winger on the NBC/Yahoo! comedy series "Community." Joel McHale has performed at TrevorLIVE New York, and will be running the show in Los Angeles.
