The fabulous Tony Award winning show "Kinky Boots" was at The Adrienne Arsht Center in December and then played the Broward Center for 2 weeks recently to rave reviews. For those of you who fell in love with the show (that's everyone I know who saw it) I urge you to pick up the CD, which is AMAZING! If you haven't seen the show, I guarantee you the cast recording will make you fall in love with it.

The Broadway original cast album for the musical "Kinky Boots" was released on May 28, 2013, less than two months after the show opened on Broadway. It was produced by Cyndi Lauper, who wrote the songs, Stephen Oremus, the orchestrator and conductor, and William Wittman. On release it premiered at number one on the Billboard Cast Albums Chart and number fifty-one on the Billboard 200 chart, making it the highest charting Broadway cast recording in two years.

In "Kinky Boots," Charlie Price has suddenly inherited his father's shoe factory, which is on the verge of bankruptcy. Trying to live up to his father's legacy and save his family business, Charlie finds inspiration in the form of Lola. A fabulous drag entertainer in need of some sturdy stilettos, Lola turns out to be the one person who can help Charlie become the man he's meant to be. As they work to turn the factory around, this unlikely pair finds that they have more in common than they ever dreamed possible... and discovers that when you change your mind about someone, you can change your whole world.
