'Hottest Math Teacher in the World' Becomes New Face of Armani
READ TIME: 2 MIN.
Last year Pietro Boselli broke the Internet when a student at the University of College London realized his super-hot math teacher also happens to be a male model and posted his pictures online. The Daily Mail is now reporting Armani announced this week Boselli, 28, is the new face for their sporty EA7 line.
Boselli, who hails from Negrar, Italy and has a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering, said he's modeled before, showing off clothes for fashion companies like Abercrombie and Fitch, but decided to pursue a career in math instead.
"In a way I was ashamed, I thought that the people from the academic world would look down on me," he told the Daily Mail.
This isn't the first time Boselli, who has been dubbed the "hottest math teacher in the world" after winning a sexiest teacher competition, modeled for Armani. He worked with the international fashion company when he was just 7 years-old.
Since his pictures went viral last year, Boselli has gained a massive following on Instagram and currently has more than 851,000 followers.
He said he's not worried about his student's seeing him nearly naked, however.
"People ask me 'why are you topless in pictures? Why don't you have any clothes on?' But training is a big part of my life," Boselli told the Daily Mail. "I started going to the gym when I moved to London and, like everything I do, I'm very focused. I train once or twice a day and I'm happy to get recognition for having a good physique."
Boselli, who is signed to the modeling agency Models 1, added that he's trying to save up enough money with modeling gigs so he can start his own engineering company in London.
Shortly after his pictures went viral in 2015, Boselli made headlines yet again for saying he felt objectified by women, who, he claims, inappropriately touched him.
"To always be put on a pedestal as a hunk is slightly demeaning...in the same way as it is for women," he reportedly said last year. He added that since gaining a bit of fame, woman grabbed his butt, which left him feeling uncomfortable.
"If a guy did to a girl some of the things I've been subjected to, everyone would agree how out of line they were - yet it's often accepted the other way around," he said.
