Social Media Site Apologizes to Wentworth Miller For Fat-Shaming Meme

The social media website that created a meme with pictures of "Prison Break" star Wentworth Miller is apologizing to the actor after he wrote a Facebook post in which he discussed fat-shaming and suicide, the BBC reports.
"We want to say we've got this very, very wrong. Mental health is no joke or laughing matter," the website wrote on Facebook Tuesday. "We certainly didn't want to cause you pain by reminding you of such a low point in your life."
Earlier this week Miller wrote a lengthy Facebook post about the meme, which showed a buff Miller next to an image of a paunchy pic of the actor and had the caption: "When you break out of prison and find out about McDonald's monopoly..."
"In 2010, semi-retired from acting, I was keeping a low-profile for a number of reasons," Miller wrote. "First and foremost, I was suicidal. This is a subject I've since written about, spoken about, shared about. But at the time I suffered in silence. As so many do. The extent of my struggle known to very, very few."
Shortly after Miller's post, where he discussed suicide and depression, the LAD Bible removed the pic. In the site's follow-up apology, it wrote: "We applaud your raw honesty and promise to now cover such matters in the responsible manner that our audience expects. Responding head-on to our post is something we applaud as it will help others through similar challenges in their lives."
