The 2nd annual Diversity Honors hosted by the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Fl. to benefit the Harvey Milk Foundation and The Pride Center at Equality Park will recognize national and South Florida honorees who have made a significant impact on improving the quality of life for the LGBT community in the spirit of Harvey Milk. This regional event will coincide with celebrations around the globe for Harvey Milk Day (May 22), an equality movement that celebrates the civil rights leader's life story, message and legacy, while giving hope and inspiring disenfranchised communities. Noche Latina Saturdays at The Manor presents the 18th Anniversary of Noche Latina Florida with the theme: "Circus." The night will star Erika Norell, Mia Patricyk (Miss Noche Latina 2016) jugglers, fire eaters and clowns with over $1,800 in giveaways, cash, prizes and raffles. Music by resident DJ Larry Larr, and hot Latin Go-Go Papi's provided by Marco Perez. In the Ballroom, they will feature a salute to Thailand starring Thailand's own DJ Sushiman. Saturdays at the Manor is from 11pm to 4 am and feature No Cover until midnight and only $5 after midnight for member and $7 for non-members.

The South Florida Symphony, under the direction of Maestra Sebrina Maria Alfonso, will be presenting the first of three concerts in their 2016 Summer Chamber Series. This concert, called Allegro! will feature Invoke String Quartet as special guests. There will be three performances: the first will be at the Josephine S. Lauderdale by the Sea Craft Festival, which takes place today and tomorrow, will showcase the artwork of the finest crafters in the country. This popular show returns to its original location in downtown, just a short distance from the beach. The Gay Men's Chorus of South Florida is celebrating its 2015-16 season by dedicating all of its shows to love. This season's theme also extends to all the songs we love, and the sublime emotions we feel when we listen to them. Fotomission and Tropicolor will host at the Miami Beach Botanical Garden the 12th South Beach Photomarathon, an exciting event that is open to all those who enjoy photography. Participants will be assigned six topics to photograph on South Beach over a period of five hours. The topics will be kept secret until the event day and are purposefully vague to give the contestants plenty of room for self-expression. The best photos from each topic will be selected, and from those the first, second and third place winners will be awarded cash and other prizes, including large plexi mounted prints of their winning images. Cyndi Lauper's celebrated musical journey takes an unexpected southern turn on "Detour," her 11th studio album, which finds the Grammy, Emmy and Tony-winning singer-songwriter putting her signature spin on a dozen classic country songs.

Detour showcases Lauper's unmistakable voice on country classics from the '40s, '50s and '60s and features guest appearances. Lauper recorded the album in Nashville alongside a band comprised of the city's top session players.

The album is Lauper's first for Sire Records and executive produced by legendary Sire founder, Seymour Stein. Detour is available on CD ($18.98), LP ($24.98), and digitally.
