Only in Florida: Woman Drives Car Into House, Says She Was Praying with Her Eyes Closed

A florida woman must have been operating under the assumption that God was her co-pilot last week.
A 28-year-old woman was taken to the hospital for evaluation last Thursday after she drove her car into the side of a house.
According to Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office, the driver, Ruqiyyah Abdur-Raqeeb-Sadiq blew through a stop sign and an intersection before going over a curb and a lawn to hit the home in Mary Esther, Fla.
The Smoking Gun notes that when questioned by police, Abdur-Raqeeb-Sadiq said that she had been praying with her eyes closed at the time.
The Northwest Florida Daily News reported that after she struck the house, she tried to back out but got stuck in the sand.
Court documents show that Abdur-Raqeeb-Sadiq was cited for reckless driving with property damage. She is scheduled for a July 26 court appearance.
