Twitter users cried foul Tuesday, claiming NBC's commentators for the Rio Olympics failed to mention or acknowledge the relationship between British diver Tom Daley and Oscar-winning screenwriter Dustin Lance Black during the men's diving competition Monday, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

"Twitter users were quick to point out that NBC was usually overly keen to push human interest stories during the Games but seemingly failed to acknowledge the relationship between Daley and his fianc Black even after the cameras lingered on the former's entourage during the competition," THR writes.

Both The Advocate and Slate called out NBC for failing to mention the couple. A spokesperson for NBC commented about the incident to The Advocate.

"With more than 11,000 athletes at the Games, it isn't always possible to identify every competitor's significant other, regardless of their sexual orientation," they said.

Nevertheless, Black took to social media to celebrate Daley's bronze medal win.
