SoNia Nominated for 15th Annual Independent Music Awards

Music Resource Group (MRG) today announced the Nominees in The 15th annual Independent Music Awards (The IMAs), the influential awards program for independent artists and releases. More than 400 of the year's most exceptional and innovative self-released and indie label projects were culled from thousands of submissions worldwide, and were nominated by fans and industry professionals in more than 80 catagories including Album, Song, EP, Music Producer, Music Video and Design.

Nominees included SONiA disappear fear for her album "LiVE at MAXiMAL" for the Best Independent Live Performance Album of 2016.� This marks the 18th release for the Award winning singer songwriter and is a double CD of a live concert in Rodgau, Germany.

The awards ceremony will take place in New York City at the Lincoln Center for Performing Arts on Saturday November 12, during a free, day-long music festival showcasing exceptional IMA talent.�

Other nominees in the 15th annual Independent Music Awards include an eclectic mix of established artists and rising star Macy Gray, Lucy Wainwright Roche & Suzzy Roche, Monica Pasqual & The Handsome Brunetteshe, Air Traffic Controller, Hackensaw Boys, All Hail The Yeti's. The winning projects will be selected by some of the top recording artists including: Tom Waits and Kathleen Brennan, Slayer, The Kills, Lalah Hathaway, Meshell Ndegeocello, Sepultura, Dido, Warren Haynes [Gov't Mule], Suzanne Vega, Gus Unger-Hamilton [alt-J], Shelby Lynne; previous IMA Winners including: Amy Lee[Evanescence], The Show Ponies, and others.
