Fear the Walking Dead - The Complete Second Season

In last season's 6-episode arc of "Fear the Walking Dead," we were introduced to a blended family in zombie-filled Los Angeles. The closing show, after forcing viewers to slog through a brief lollygagging season, saw an exploding apocalypse on the horizon and it seemed no one was going to make it out alive.
"Fear the Walking Dead - The Complete Second Season" slightly improves upon the failings seen in its prior format and gives the AMC show a chance to breathe with 15 episodes this time. Spread out over 5 discs on an attractive DVD set, fans of the show will be in heaven with this release which also generously includes an array of bonus material.
Escaping the fiery confines of Los Angeles, the characters in search of an exit on "Fear the Walking Dead" leap aboard "The Abigail" and sail toward better days in San Diego, CA. But just when they thought it was safe to go back in the water, the crew soon discovers that zombies are just as dangerous on the ocean as they are on land. Like all dysfunctional situations, tensions arise and characters split up along the way. Naturally, the final episode sees a major character facing a life-altering decision and ends the sophomore season of "Fear the Walking Dead" in cliffhanger mode.
Discs 1 and 2 on the DVD set include audio commentaries for the first seven episodes. Five additional special features get tacked onto disc 5:
"Deleted Scenes" - most episodes had scenes that were left on the cutting room floor and these can be viewed here
"Flight 462 Webisodes" - a series of shorts that collects a full story about a downed plane full of zombies that was only hinted at in episode #3
"Q&A with Cast and Creative Team" - at close to an hour, this featurette shows cast and crew as they attend PaleyFest L.A. 2016
"Inside Fear the Walking Dead" - a brief behind-the-scenes look at season two
"The Making of Fear the Walking Dead" - technically shows how the 15 episodes were filmed during the second season
