Chelsea Clinton Honored at City Harvest's 23rd Annual Gala

On Tuesday, April 25, Chelsea Clinton will be among the honorees at the City Harvest's 23rd Annual Gala. This year's theme is an "Evening of Practical Magic" and it honors Lise & Michael Evans, Chelsea Clinton, and Chef Geoffrey Zakarian. The evening is hosted by Zac Posen and features a performance by Ja Rule, presented by Fyre.

City Harvest will host its 23rd Annual Gala, "An Evening of Practical Magic," which will support City Harvest's work of rescuing good food that would otherwise go to waste and delivering it to hungry New Yorkers -- a mission that has been referred to as "practical magic."

City Harvest's goal is to raise $2.3 million from the event -- enough to help feed over 8,400 families for a year. Evening of Practical Magic is generously sponsored by Stella Artois, Citi, Evian, Patr�n Tequila, Westfield World Trade Center, Breville, Mandarin Oriental New York, and I.Halper.

At the event, City Harvest will launch its "1.4 Million Reasons to Believe" campaign to raise an additional $1.4 million in funds by June 30 to help fill its trucks with food for the nearly 1.4 million residents struggling to put meals on their tables regularly. City Harvest supporters will also be invited to share the reasons they believe in City Harvest via social media using the hashtag #IBelieveinCityHarvest.

Special guests include City Harvest Food Council member Chrissy Teigen, lifestyle expert Martha Stewart, and actor JJ Feild. Sirius XM Radio host and actress/comedienne Sandra Bernhard and actress Bridget Moynahan will serve as special guest presenters.

Celebrity chefs in attendance will include Eric Ripert,
Dominque Ansel, Masa Takayama, Marc Murphy, Ted Allen, Donatella Arpaia and Michael Anthony.

City Harvest's 23rd Annual Gala will be held at 6:30 p.m. with awards and dinner at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 25 at Cipriani 42nd Street, 110 E. 42nd Street in New York City.
