After a outcry from fans and a petition, Netflix announced Thursday it has green lit a two-hour finale episode for its recently cancelled LGBTQ sci-fi series "Sense8." It's scheduled to air in 2018.
Co-creator Lana Wachowski took to Facebook Thursday and shared a note on the update of "Sense8," announcing a "two-hour special released next year," which will reveal "What happens to Wolfgang."
After Netflix announced it canceled the series, fans voiced their displeasure with hundreds of thousands of people signing a Change.org petition, urging the streaming service to bring back the show. In response, Netflix said it still wouldn't bring back the show, with an exec suggesting the company would be more ruthless with canceling its programs.
Netflix also shared a video announcing the two-hour finale. Check that out below, along with Wachowski's note.
