Las Vegas Pride Descends on Downtown Las Vegas in October

One Magical Weekend, Aspen Gay Ski Week and Las Vegas Pride are coming together to invite their friends from around the world to join them at Las Vegas Pride in October 2017.

This year, the three organizations will be celebrating at Plaza Hotel & Casino in exciting Downtown Las Vegas, which has seen a rebirth as a destination in the city. From the Las Vegas Arts District to Container Park, downtown is a hub of arts and culture - where Las Vegas began. Thrill-seekers will opt for the zipline over Fremont Street, history buffs will enjoy the Mob Museum, and cocktail aficionados will imbibe at hip mixology-centric bars in downtown, originally called "Glitter Gulch."

"We are thrilled to be in Downtown Las Vegas," remarked Pamela Herr of Aspen Gay Ski Week. "This is authentic Las Vegas, and I can't think of a better place to celebrate Pride."

A part of Las Vegas' rich history, Plaza Hotel & Casino opened in 1971 as the world's largest hotel at the time and has been an iconic building ever since. While it underwent a major renovation recently, Plaza still holds true to its glittery roots - at the entrance to the Fremont Street Experience.

At Plaza Hotel & Casino, guests will enjoy Thursday happy hour at Oscar's, hosted by the Plaza's very own Darik Malone - then off to Pride events. On both Friday and Saturday from 1-5 pm, the organizations are hosting pool parties at Plaza's newly renovated pool and deck, free for hotel guests. DJs to be announced soon.

Pool-side cabanas are available.

On Friday night, it's the Las Vegas Pride Parade then party downtown. Finally, on Saturday night, there will be a VIP cocktail reception for hotel guests from 7-9pm at Plaza Hotel.
