Warner Brothers Studios Horror Made Here Tour

This October has been filled with so many fright-filled adventures! I hope you have taken advantage of the spooky season with the many, many, maniacal offerings Los Angeles has to offer. If you're looking for one more scare before we head towards Thanksgiving, move the " arner Brothers Studios Horror Made Here" tour to the top of your list. Taking advantage of the studio back lots, this new attraction is one the best out there with great haunted experiences unlike any you'll encounter out there in the dark.

Here you will find macabre mazes, a short "Horror Made Here" tour that will take you to various sound stages with sinister pasts as well as some sets from scary film and tv projects, a virtual reality experience, great scary photo opportunities and a look at the actual costumes from some of today's most popular horror films. There are plenty of bars set up around the grounds if you need some liquid courage, as well as some food and dessert trucks. A DJ is at the center of it all, playing today's hits with a sprinkling of scary tunes to keep the evening laced with just the right amount of evil.

"Horror Made Here" drew its inspiration from three films, "IT," the "Annabelle" and "Conjuring" movies and the "Nightmare on Elm Street" franchise. You will find "IT's" Pennywise the Clown very much alive here, as the studio had the Neibolt House, which was located at Hollywood and Vine as a movie promo, moved to their back lot; giving those of us (including myself) who missed the opportunity to see it the first time the chance to explore the creepy house.

Built as an exact replica of the house they used in the film, you will follow Georgie through various rooms where each encounter is more terrifying than the last. You will also get a chance to try out the "IT VR Experience," which had fans waiting for hours at San Diego Comic Con and Scare LA. If the clowns haven't scared you away just yet, you can take some great photos at the "IT" Pennywise Wagon, standing beside the storm drain where Georgie met his end, by trees covered in the Missing Children posters or another number of great mentions to the movie.

Leaving Derry and murderous clowns behind, next step into the home of Ed and Lorraine Warren, the paranormalists who brought the demonic doll Annabelle into the spotlight. As you make your way through the haunted home you will experience supernatural activity that seems a little bit too real. Fans will be excited to know that the Annabelle they see in the house is the doll they used in the actual films, making the experience all the more frightening. Full of scares and great special effects, "The Conjuring" house will haunt you long after your escape.

Next, it's time to revisit our high school days, where there is a little less math and a whole lot more murder. "A Nightmare on Elm Street Haunted High School" plays homage to the greatest slasher of the '80s, Mr. Freddy Kruger. Walk the halls of the school that has been bathed in blood and encounter Freddy's slain victims, as well as the man himself waiting for you around every corner. If you make it out alive, you'll have the chance to take a great photo with Freddy, one that I personally hung on my refrigerator with pride.

If you've had enough of creepy clowns, evil dolls, and serial slashers, take a moment to visit the "Horror Made Here" make-up demo where you will see how some of these villains are brought to life. There is also "Stage 48: Script to Screen" that houses original costumes and props from popular horror films, including all the character's from "IT's" Loser's Club and Pennywise himself.

"Warner Brothers Studios Tour Horror Made Here" runs through this weekend and is an absolute MUST if you are a fan of horror. It is so well executed and is just as frightening as it is fun. So, put on your big boy pants and go rub elbows with some of today's most beloved horror icons, if you're not too busy running away from them that is.

"Warner Brothers Studios Tour Horror Made Here" takes place Oct 26 through 28 at Warner Brothers Studios, 3400 Warner Blvd in Burbank. For tickets or information, visit www.wbstudiotour.com/horror-made-here.
