READ TIME: 1 MIN.

Join Dallas locals on Friday, October 27 in supporting lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) students through Point Foundation Scholarships. Meet other professionals interested in empowering the next generation of LGBTQ leaders through scholarship, community service, leadership training, and development. There will be light snacks, cocktails, and good conversation.

Point Foundation (Point) is the nation's largest provider of higher education scholarships to LGBTQ students. Come and discover how to help Point create the next generation of LGBTQ leaders.

The event is free to attend. Attendees can also donate $500 to receive membership in Point's Cornerstone Society, a group of philanthropic individuals dedicated to helping create a positive, lasting change in the LGBTQ community and the world through investment in education.

Sponsors include Merrill Lynch Wealth Management Bank of America Corporation, The Meyer Tosha Group, and Edge Media Network.

Point Foundation empowers promising LGBTQ students to achieve their full academic and leadership potential -- despite the obstacles often put before them -- to make a significant impact on society. Since 2002, Point has awarded approximately 400 scholarships making it the nation's largest scholarship-granting organization for LGBTQ students of merit. The Foundation promotes change through scholarship funding, mentorship, leadership development and community service training.

The Dallas Point Foundation event will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, October 27 at the The Mayfair Sky Club at Turtle Creek, 3401 Lee Parkway, Dallas, TX 75219.
