Celebrate Your Anniversary: Vegas Style

Matthew Wexler READ TIME: 4 MIN.

No matter if you're a newly-minted couple out to mark your first year of wedded bliss or you're rejoicing in a decades-long relationship with each other, Las Vegas is the perfect place to fete your endless love. Both glitzy and romantic, erotic and glamorous, the city serves up an almost endless array of hotel options for every budget, magnificent eateries and adventurous activities sure to rouse passion.

Couples can curate diverse experiences like canoodling over an intimate meal at Hugo's Cellar and a rousing helicopter ride high above the Grand Canyon, ensuring a getaway so special you'll be treasuring your anniversary celebration for the rest of your lives.

A Spectacular Stay

Want to stay somewhere as exciting as you and your honey's passion? Book a room at Elara by Hilton Grand Vacations. The location couldn't be better -- right in the center of the Strip, with adjoining access to the Miracle Mile and its 100 shops and 21 restaurants and bars. Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino is next door, too. But Elara itself is all elegance and comfort, offering a range of accommodations, including a one-bedroom suite with king-sized bed, master bath with jetted tub, and Instagram-worthy views.

Couples who want to make like Italian royalty can realize their desire at The Palazzo. Understated opulence is the name of the game here, from the fountain-bedecked lobby's soaring ceilings to the more than 3,000 suites sporting sunken living rooms, marble baths and remote-controlled shades.

The legendary Caesars Palace, which celebrated five fabulous decades last year, boasts an Italian theme, too, though it harkens back to the Roman Empire. The iconic hotel is just as glamorous today, with sexy Centurion guards opening doors for guests, pop diva Celine Dion in residence, and five towers of seriously swanky rooms.

Dining Fit for a King or Queen

Las Vegas is graced with almost too many tantalizing restaurants serving world-class food to count, but Cleo, located in the hip SLS Las Vegas on the Strip's north end, has more than made its mark. The interior, featuring Moroccan tiles, chandeliers and marble counters, is unlike any in the city. So is the cuisine. Chef Danny Elmaleh serves inspired, contemporary Mediterranean fare, including bone marrow with red wine au jus.

Long a Vegas favorite for romantic dining, Hugo's Cellar, inside downtown's Four Queens Hotel and Casino, is a throwback pleasure. Ladies get roses, waiters provide tableside service for duckling anise flamb and bananas foster and everyone goes away beaming.

Committed carnivores can keep their strength up for anniversary merrymaking at MB Steak, ensconced within the Hard Rock Hotel. Known for its sexy setting, the two-level restaurant dishes out ideal meals for twosomes such as a 32-ounce double porterhouse.

Seize the Day

One of the best things about Las Vegas is how much fun you can have doing so many things. Even couples that have been together forever and a day can find new adventures to explore together. If you and your beloved want to fly high -- really high -- a helicopter tour is just the ticket. Papillon and Maverick's rides include beautiful views of the city, Lake Mead and the Hoover Dam, as well as a landing at the bottom of the Grand Canyon and a champagne picnic.

Or unwind with a sensual treatment for two at Oleksandra Spa and Salon, like a couple's massage, which can include goodies like aromatherapy. Follow it up with a ride in a private VIP cabin aboard the The LINQ High Roller, the world's tallest observation wheel, and then grab a limo from the hotel to check out other spectacular sights like the Mirage Volcano Show.

For other rarified delights, book a Cirque du Soleil Behind the Scenes Experience with backstage access to one of the seven Vegas Cirque shows, a chance to meet the performers and more.
