Watch: 'Modern Family' Star Julie Bowen Appears on 'Ellen' as Ellen

No, you're not seeing double.
"Modern Family" star Julie Bowen stopped by "The Ellen" show for Halloween dressed up as the daytime talkshow herself - Ellen DeGeneres. But her outfit came with a twist: Bowen appeared as Ellen from the '80s. Yes, even with her iconic mullet.
The specific look Bowen went for was Ellen's first appearance on "The Johnny Carson Show" in 1986, EW reports. When speaking to the real Ellen, Bowen explained she even reversed a standup bit in the mirror.
"I've been keeping in shape, you know. You have to. I'm getting older, 27," Bowen said. "People say, 'You don't look 27, you look about 23.' I guess I'm lucky it runs in the family. I got a grandmother who's 97, she looks about 93."
"I think Sinbad told me to buy something like that. I was taking advice from Sinbad back then," Ellen said.
Bowen told Ellen she looked nervous when she was performing back in 1986.
"You were on 'Carson.' I was on fake 'Carson' and I almost just threw up," she said. "It's so hard. It's hard to be you."
