No Barbie in Sight: Brit Reality Star Sam Thompson Thirst-Traps as Ken

Mattel celebrated Ken, its iconic male counterpart to Barbie, on his 60th birthday with reproduction of the original doll, EDGE reported.
"The company said it is working with several fashion designers to celebrate Ken's birthday and showcase him as an influencer. The designs will be viewable on Instagram with the handle @BarbieStyle." reported the Associated Press in the report.
"Ken, much like Barbie, has always been a reflector of the times that he lives in," said Robert Best, Barbie senior director of design at Mattel.
British reality star Sam Thompson, currently part of "The Celebrity Circle," a variation on the hit reality show "The Circle" that aired on Netflix, apparently took Best's comments to heart with a cheeky Instagram photospread that follow Ken's looks over decades.
"The TV personality, 28, looked almost unrecognisable as he modelled a series of iconic looks from over the years," reported the Daily Mail.
For the original 1961 Ken, Thompson is shirtless wearing red swimming shorts and a loose-fitting shirt over the top. The 1972 'Mod Hair Ken' features Ken in a brown glossy wig, white polo neck jumper, a chequered blazer, and brown corduroy trousers. Ken goes disco for 1978's 'Superstar Ken - Disco baby!' with a fabulous navy blue jumpsuit and disco ball with Sam even posing in a toy box. His 1984 look is called 'Dinner Date Ken,' with a black tuxedo top, neon pink satin cummerbund and beige trousers. The final look is 1991's 'Totally Hair Ken,' with Thompson in a neon paisley pattern shirt, purple trousers, and a huge gelled quiff.
Thompson came to fame as part of the hit British reality show "Made in Chelsea" in 2013, where he became a fan favorite over numerous seasons. He also appeared on "Celebrity Big Brother" and "Celebs Go Dating." It was on the latter show that he met up with his BFF Pete Wicks. "It's not often that we see Sam Thompson without Pete Wicks beside him these days as the pair have developed a super close friendship over the years," wrote a report on the Capital FM website. The pair are roommates on "The Celebrity Circle." Both date women, though Wicks is presently unattached, while Thompson has an on-again, off-again relationship with Zara McDermott.
"Individually I like them both, together they are f**king annoying aren't they?" Wicks told the tabloid the U.S. Sun. "But yeah, they are both nice people but they've had their ups and downs ain't they but what couple hasn't."
He then threw shade at his BFF: "I mean as a couple I think they are an interesting couple, interesting but I think it's more the fact I just don't even understand how Sam's got a bird."
The pair have teamed for a series called "Pete & Sam's Reality News."
"This is something I've wanted to do for a long while, and something that's taken an age to come together (purely down to @p_wicks01 refusing) ???? it's a bit of fun as I absolutely love reality TV and everything that comes with it, now you guys get the news, but from 2 people inside the bubble! This is a dark time, and Now more than ever we want to try and bring some laughter to you guys! Enjoy," Thompson wrote on Instagram.
