Gay Couple Turns Home Into a Pride Flag

After being told that flying their Pride flag violated homeowner association rules, a Wisconsin gay couple found a "funny loophole" that allowed them to go big and show off their Pride in the process.

As reported by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Memo Fachino and his husband, Lance Mier, replaced their Pride flag with a rainbow display of flood lights.

"Fachino embraced the humor of the moment by posting it to a Reddit forum celebrating outside-the-box ways ways of getting around rules," the Journal reports. "The post took off and inevitably devolved into rants about overzealous homeowner's associations, but Fachino had no intention to become adversarial. After all, he sits on his neighborhood board."

Fachino said getting around the rule was in good fun.

"We're not trying to stick it to anyone," Fachino said, the Journal reports. "We don't feel targeted or attacked in our community. It was just a fun way for us to show our individuality and support in a way that didn't break any HOA rules." We'd say so.
