Thirst-Trapping with Matthew Camp, the Hunky Bailiff on 'Iconic Justice'
READ TIME: 2 MIN.
"RuPaul's Drag Race" alumni Willam is taking aim at Judge Judy with "Iconic Justice," a reality tv courtroom series that premiered onOutTV's Apple TV+ channel this week.
The show is being described to Entertainment Weekly by its executive producer Topher Cusumano, as "what would happen ifJudge JudyandJohn Watershad an aggressively gay baby."
"Going on TV just to judge people? I've been training my whole life for this gig. Seriously though, no one teaches you how to be queer, so for all the stupidity and fun on the show, there's actually real advice too and that's something I'm proud of," Willam added.
Promotional pics show Willam on the bench with someone familiar standing beside him – adult entertainer Matthew Camp, who appears as the show's bailiff. Also joining Willam and Camp are Nicky Monet and Andrea Coleman as court reporters.
Camp made headlines earlier this year when he narrowly escaped death this past January when his Poughkeepsie, New York home burnt down in a suspected arson attack.
At the time a GoFundMe page was created to help him during the ordeal. It raised a little more than $84,000. On the page was a description of the crime: "In the early morning of January 14, 2021, Matthew Camp's home shared with his friend Six Carter was targeted in an apparent hate crime where an unknown person poured gasoline on the front porch creating an explosion that woke Matthew up giving him moments to get himself and roommate out in safety."
"The entire home eventually burned for 3+ hours leaving no personal possessions salvageable inside," the GoFundMe page continued. "Camera footage caught the attack and the perpetrator is being sought for attempted murder by the authorities."
While there has been little reporting as to whether the arsonist has been caught, in early February, Camp posted to Instagram to thank to those who showed him support.
"The outpouring of support in all forms has been a transformative experience for me," he wrote. "I may have suffered greatly at the hands of someone who tried to kill me-but I gained more strength than what they were able to take. Kindness is easy to give and life changing to receive. Thank you-everyone."
Since then, Camp has been thirst-trapping quite regularly. Check out some of his latest pics:
