And just like that, the girls are back! Most of them, anyway.

As reported by Variety, "And Just Like That," the next chapter of the "Sex and the City" series, will reach HBO Max in December.

In a promotional video posted to the show's official Instagram page, Sarah Jessica Parker (Carrie) also delivers the news in her typical New York style.

Executive produced Michael Patrick King, the series will follow Carrie (Parker), Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) and Charlotte (Kristin Davis) as they navigate family, friends, and life in their fifties.

The infamous absence of Kim Cattrall's Samantha Jones character will reportedly be explained away somehow.

On top of that, there are a bevy of new characters, played by Sara Ramírez, Sarita Choudhury, Nicole Ari Parker and Karen Pittman, to help fill the Samatha-shaped void.

The original "Sex and the City" HBO series was created by Darren Star and premiered in 1998, based on the book "Sex and the City" by Candace Bushnell. After the show wrapped, two films followed.
