Gus Kenworthy Is Going to the Winter Olympics to Represent Great Britain

Gus Kenworthy is headed to the Olympic Games for a third time. The freestyle skier has just secured a place on Team Great Britain to compete in free ski halfpipe category at the Winter Olympic Games in Beijing, Outsports reported.

Kenworthy represented Team USA until 2019. However, he is eligible to represent Britain because his mother is English, and he was born in England.

Kenworthy has become one of the most visible out athletes in sports, and he recently shared how happy he was to see even more LGBTQ representation at the Olympic Games.

Kenworthy will compete at this week's Winter X Games in Aspen, Colorado before going on to the Olympics. He says that he plans to make the two competitions the last two events of his athletic career.
