Deadline reports the highly anticipated second season of HBO's hit comedy series "The White Lotus" just got more interesting as more cast members were announced, including hunky British actor Theo James.

"Theo James,Meghann FahyandWill Sharpehave been tapped as series regulars for the second installment of Mike White's dark comedy HBO series'The White Lotus.'Additionally, up-and-comerLeo Woodallis set to recur. The newly cast quartet also joins previously cast F. Murray Abraham, Michael Imperioli and Adam DiMarco, who play Bert Di Grasso, Dominic De Grasso and Elbie Di Grasso, respectively – an elderly man, his son and grandson traveling together. Tom Hollander plays Quentin, an English expat vacationing with his friends and his nephew," writes Deadline.

"The second installment – also written, to directed by and executive produced by White – will leave Hawaii behind for a new location and will follow a different group of vacationers at another White Lotus property. Unofficially referred to'The White Lotus: Sicily, Season 2' is keeping with the island setting of the original, moving the action from the Pacific Ocean to the Mediterranean Sea and the setting from one Four Seasons hotel to another – the Four Seasons San Domenico Palace."

Variety adds: "Fahy ('The Bold Type,' 'One Life to Live') and James ('Divergent,' 'Sanditon') will star as husband and wife Daphne and Cameron Babcock. Sharpe ('Giri/Haji,' 'Flowers') will play Ethan Spiller, a man on vacation with his wife Harper (Plaza) and the Babcocks. Woodall ('Cherry') will play Jack, described as a magnetic guest staying at The White Lotus. Fahy, James, and Sharpe are series regulars, while Woodall is a recurring guest star."

It appears that Jennifer Coolidge is the only returning member from "The White Lotus" first season. Her casting was announced last October. This means that don't expect a reprise of the now-famous rimming scene, at least not featuring Murray Bartlett and Lukas Gage. (Gage later became a spokesperson for normalizing the sexual act.) On the show Coolidge played socialite Tanya McQuoid, who went to the Hawaiian resort to distribute her mother's ashes. She received some of the best reviews of her career for playing the vulnerable, often annoying, yet endearing (and very funny) character. She brought humanity to a caricature and was nominated for a Golden Globe for her performance, as well as a Screen Actors Guild award, which is pending.

On the new season, Coolidge is said to travel to Sicily with her assistant, series newcomer Haley Lu Richardson who plays Portia, "a young woman traveling with her boss, believed to be Tanya McQuoid," adds Deadline.

James is best-known for playing Tobias "Four" Eaton in the two "Divergent" films opposite Shailene Woodley. More recently he starred in the British series"Sanditon"as Sidney Parker, the male lead. It is an eight-part period-drama adaptation of Jane Austen's final novel written shortly before her death. It aired in 2020 on PBS's "Masterpiece." While the show was renewed, James announced he wasn't returning. And those with longer memories will remember James from the Woody Allen comedy "You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger" where he played a hunky trainer.
