READ TIME: 1 MIN.
The cast of "Hacks" just got a bit bigger with the announcement of four new faces joining the hit HBO Max comedy series.
The Emmy-winning show is welcoming Laurie Metcalf ("Lady Bird''), Martha Kelly ("Euphoria") and Ming-Na Wen ("Mulan," "The Book of Boba Fett") to its second season, along with out comedian Margaret Cho, who will be a guest star, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
According to THR, "Hacks" Season 2 will be about how "the dark mentorship between legendary Las Vegas comedian Deborah Vance (Jean Smart) and her young, entitled writer Ava (Hannah Einbinder) continues to evolve as the two travel across the country workshopping Deborah's new stand-up act."
"Hacks" Season 1, which features a number of queer actors and characters, picked up three Emmy awards last year, including best actress in a comedy series for its leading lady Jean Smart. THR said there is no set date for Season 2 but it is expected to return later this year.
