Boston's LGBTQ+ Film Fest 'Wicked Queer' Goes Hybrid for 2022

READ TIME: 3 MIN.

The following is a press release from Wicked Queer:

Wicked Queer returns for a hybrid festival, in-person April 7-17, with many of the in-person screenings available on Wicked Queer's XERB.tv channel the next day through April 30. Wicked Queer's XERB.tv channel will also feature online exclusives throughout the month of Gaypril.

The 38th Festival features some of the most anticipated queer films of the year from around the globe, as well as some local flavors; lesbian rom-com "The Sympathy Card" was filmed in Boston, and the documentary "Being Thunder" comes from the Narragansett Tribe in their unceded lands in Rhode Island.

Directors Adrián Silvestre ("My Emptiness and I") and Rita Baghdadi ("Sirens") and many more will be in attendance for Q&As. Festival darlings will make a splash; Sundance NEXT Innovator Award winner Chase Joynt's "Framing Agnes" features actress and activist Angelica Ross, and Teddy Award winner at the Berlin Film Festival "Three Tidy Tigers Tied a Tie Tighter" will make its U.S. debut. "RuPaul" fans can see behind the scenes of the rise of Bebe Zahara Benet, the first winner of "RuPaul's Drag Race," with "Being Bebe." This festival is an eclectic celebration of our diverse community; there's something for everyone!
