For the Third Year in a Row, Kiehl's Partners with The Trevor Project

Christopher Ehlers READ TIME: 2 MIN.

In celebration of Pride Month, Kiehl's continues its legacy of support for the LGBTQ+ community with a limited-edition design of one of its cult favorite products and a guaranteed minimum donation of $150,000 to The Trevor Project, the world's largest suicide prevention and mental health organization for LGBTQ youth.

Promising to donate $1 for every Limited-Edition Pride Ultra Facial Cream sold – and a guaranteed minimum of $150,000 – Kiehl's will help The Trevor Project provide free, confidential, life-saving crisis counseling services to over 1,500 LGBTQ young people.

And this support of The Trevor Project couldn't come at a better time. Representing the experiences of nearly 34,000 LGBTQ young people between the ages of 13 and 24, The Trevor Project recently conducted a national survey that yielded some pretty sobering facts: 45% of LGBTQ respondents seriously considered attempting suicide in the past year, with higher rates reported among LGBTQ youth of color; 60% of LGBTQ youth who wanted mental health care in the past year were not able to get it; 56% of LGBTQ youth reported that their mental health was poor most of the time or all of the time due to the COVID-19 pandemic; and LGBTQ youth who lived in an accepting communities, had access to LGBTQ-affirming spaces, and/or felt high social support from family and friends reported significantly lower rates of attempting suicide in the past year.

Of course, what would a Kiehl's limited-edition product be without some special packaging? This year, they enlisted artist Sam Kirk to design their special jar of the $33 wonder cream. To mark the occasion, Kirk also designed one-of-a-kind visuals that will come to live in Kiehl's stores and online around the world, aiming to capture the spirit and energy of Kiehl's hometown of New York City with a vibrant collection of characters coming together to celebrate at the historic New York City pride parade.

Limited Edition PRIDE Ultra Facial Cream supporting The Trevor Project is available at kiehls.com and sephora.com.
