Out Sen. Baldwin Calls Out Marco Rubio For Saying Gay Marriage Vote is a 'Stupid Waste of Time'

Florida Sen. Marco Rubio better watch his back – literally. Rubio was reportedly having a walk-and-talk interview with CNN when he called a vote on a bill to codify same-sex marriage a "stupid waste of time" as he stepped into an elevator.
However, the moment turned awkward because present in that elevator was none other than out Wisconsin Sen. Tammy Baldwin.
CNN Congressional correspondent Manu Raju, whom Rubio was speaking to, even tweeted about the incident.
As he reported, Baldwin didn't let it slip whether she was upset about the comment. Instead she turned the attention to her work in getting the votes to make the bill into law.
"You probably would have loved to be on the elevator to see the exchange after," Baldwin told CNN Thursday.
She "of course I did" speak to Rubio about the remark.
"I said that, 'The recent Supreme Court decision eroded a constitutional right to privacy. There's a whole bunch of cases that have been decided based on a constitutional right to privacy that are in jeopardy,' which he disagrees with. And anyways, I said we'll be talking some more," said Baldwin.
