Lady Gaga has confirmed that she will be delivering some demented giggles as a Harley Quinn in the sequel to Joaquin Phoenix's "Joker."

As reported by Variety, Gaga tweeted a preview of the film set to the tune "Cheek to Cheek," which she famously covered with Tony Bennett.

Officially titled "Joker 2: Folie à Deux," the flick will reportedly have a major musical component. Gaga tweeted: "Joker: Folie à Deux 10.04.24"

The "Folie à Deux" phrase reportedly refers to a shared delusional disorder, most likely a reference to something he shares with Quinn. Although the teaser doesn't outright confirm that Gaga is Quinn, but all signs point to her having landed the part.

On June 7, director Todd Phillips posted the screenplay's cover to his Instagram and will return as director after the first film grossed over $1 billion worldwide, becoming the highest-grossing R-rated movie in history.

"The movie won the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival and went on to earn 11 Academy Award nominations, including best picture and director. Phoenix won the Oscar, as did Hildur Guðnadóttir for original score," Variety reports.

"Joker: Folie à Deux" is scheduled to hit theaters Oct. 4, 2024. Watch the musical teaser in Gaga's social media post below.
