Watch: 'Beach Rats' Actor Harris Dickinson Stars in Trailer for 'Triangle of Sadness'

READ TIME: 1 MIN.

The first trailer for director Ruben Östlund's new film "Triangle of Sadness," which won the prestigious Palme d'Or at this year's Cannes Film Festival, is finally here.

The film, a satire on class, follows Harris Dickinson, the star of the 2017 queer drama "Beach Rats," as a 25-year-old male model who is reaching the prime of his career. Along with his celebrity model girlfriend (Charlbi Dean), the two are invited on a luxury cruise for the one percenters but all hell breaks loose and things unravel into catastrophe.

EDGE contributor C.J. Prince reviewed the film from its Cannes debut in May, writing that Östlund's "takes the biggest hammer he can find to the worst of capitalism, smashes it to pieces, and then tries to see what comes out of the carnage. A lengthy, almost half-hour sequence consisting of the smashing part will go down as one of the best things Ostlund's made to date.

"Without getting into too much detail, the aforementioned combination of seafood and bad weather turns a quiet dinner into a revolting horror show, while Harrelson's captain turns out to be a self-declared Marxist who squares off against a Russian agriculture tycoon on whether capitalism or communism is better," Prince adds. "It's maximum chaos that had the theater howling with laughter, and Östlund ends the scene with a grim punchline where his overkill feels justified."

"Triangle of Sadness," which follows Östlund's "The Square" (that film also took home the Palm in 2017), also stars Woody Harrelson and hits theaters on October 7. Check out the trailer below.
