Meet the Queens of 'RuPaul's Drag Race' Season 15

Barry Levitt READ TIME: 5 MIN.

A new year is upon us, which means that the next season of "RuPaul's Drag Race" is here! Season 15 premieres January 6, with a new network (MTV!) and it's biggest cast ever, introducing a whopping 16 queens. It's going to be absolutely epic, so we've broken down what you need to know about the 16 competitors vying for the crown on Season 15.

Amethyst

West Hartford, Connecticut
Insta: @thatssoamethyst

Hailing from Connecticut, Amethyst is a super charming queen. Her promo look gives pop princess down, and her interview is full of quirky charm. She considers herself a comedy queen, and her TikTok, filled with clever performances, certainly suggests she's going to deliver plenty of laughs. She's also delightfully self-deprecating, constantly referencing her big (and absolutely beautiful!) nose.

Anetra

Las Vegas, Nevada
Insta: @iamanetra

Oh my goodness, Anetra is stunning. Her promo look says "don't mess with me" and "I'm gonna obliterate you in a lipsync," and we absolutely love to see it. Anetra calls herself a stunt queen, and we can't wait to see her dance the house down. She looks like one of the fiercest competitors, and we can't wait to see what she does on the show.

Aura Mayari

Nashville, Tennessee
Insta: @auramayari

Aura Mayari's promo look is a lot, in a good way. There are loads of textures and patterns coming together in a stylish racer look. She calls herself a boss bitch in her meet the queens, and her promo absolutely gives that. Her mug is beat to perfection, and she promises lots of dancing and singing talents. It's always a worry when a queen says what they stumble with, and Aura says she's no comedy queen, but hopefully, she can make it werk.

Irene Dubois

Seattle, Washinton
Insta: @irenethealien

Now this is how you do a promo look! This all-pink alien elegenza is serving glamor and quirk in equal measure. Her interview is hilarious and gives us plenty of personality to go with the great look. Irene says "instead of looking like Drag Queens, I like to look like Star Wars characters" We are sold. Seattle queens have a very impressive track record on the show (for the most part), so let's hope Irene is ready to carry that legacy on.

Jax

Queens, New York
Insta: @getjaxed

As fans of Mortal Kombat, it was thrilling to see Jax reveals her name is inspired by the hypermasculine video game character. Her promo look is fierce, and the first thing she tells us is that she loves a good flip (and check it out, she really can!). Jax seems like a heck of a lot of fun, and we pity whoever she goes up against in a lip-sync to a dance number.

Loosey LaDuca

Ansonia, Connecticut
Insta: @looseyladuca

Loosey has a really interesting background – while she gets in drag and parties at puts on a show at night, during the day she's an actual construction worker! Her name is inspired by the legendary Lucille Ball, which is a huge persona to live up to, but Loosey is packed with plenty of charm. A campy delight with cute looks, we are hyped to see Loosey LaDuca on "RPDR."

Luxx Noir London

East Orange, New Jersey
Insta: @luxxnoirlondon

Luxx is freaking adorable. She possesses an effortless charm, which is extra exciting when you combine it with her show stopping promo look. It's made almost entirely of seatbelts, which shouldn't work, but wow, does it ever. She looks like a winner of "RPDR," and she spends some time in her interview talking about how competitive she is. Watch out for Luxx Noir London, she's coming for the crown.

Malaysia Babydoll Foxx

Miami, Florida
Insta: @foxxy_doll

"The fattest and the baddest bitch from Miami, Florida" is one heck of a way to make us love you instantly. Malaysia Babydoll Foxx (say that five times fast) has great makeup, fun style, and loads of charisma. We're looking forward to seeing what she brings to the table, but if her meet the queens is any indication, drama, energy, and a whole lot of fun are coming our way.

Marcia Marcia Marcia

New York, New York
Insta: @marciax3nyc

Quite possibly the best drag name of the season, Marcia Marcia Marcia is an absolute vision. You could stare at her for hours, and she's super glamorous with a distinctly nostalgic bent. Marcia says she makes all her looks, so we're really excited to see what she brings to the runway, particularly in ball challenges. She says she's gonna goop and gag us, and she better!

Mistress Isabelle Brooks

Houston, Texas
Insta: @mistressisabllebrooks

Mistress Isabelle Brooks didn't just deliver a fabulous promo look, but she gave us far and away the best queen ruveal look, so we instantly know the looks will be on point. Mistress is also wickedly funny – we cackled when she said "A lot of people think I'm fat but I'm really just big-boned, but my heart goes out to the big girls". Despite plenty of worthy queens, we've still not had a plus-sized winner on a regular season of "RPDR," but Mistress looks like she has everything needed to be the first.

Princess Poppy

San Francisco, California
Insta: @poppyprincesspoppy

It's always a bit of a red flag when a queen tells you she's nervous in her meet the queens, but Princess Poppy seems really funny, so we're not too worried. In her interview, she talked about how she wanted nothing more than to have her initials be P.P. How can you not root for her? She seems like a total oddball. Her promo look is creative and intriguing, and we're looking forward to seeing what Princess Poppy brings to the world of "RPDR."

Robin Fierce

Hartford, Connecticut
Insta: @therobinfierce

FOUR CONNECTICUT GIRLS! We never would have predicted Connecticut would have so many "RPDR" girls in single season, but Season 15 is clearly ready to stun (Jax is also from Connecticut, even though she's now in residing in New York). Robin Fierce has a staggeringly beautiful mug, which is necessary when your name is inspired by the one and only Raven. Robin promises us that we'll never know what we're going to get with her, but we're excited to find out more about what this Fierce queen has to offer.

Salina Estitties

Los Angeles, California
Insta: @estitties

Salina Estitties (we can't get over the name) has a whole lot of energy, and she's loud enough to be heard from outer space. That has us very very excited, as a kooky, loud, and exciting queen is always essential to the show's success. She knows how wild she is too, which is a real treat. Salina is self-aware, and ridiculous, and we absolutely need to see more of her. We can't wait to see her with the other queens.

Sasha Colby

Los Angeles, California
Insta: @sashacolby

Sometimes it only takes a single sentence to tell everyone you're a legend. Sasha Colby did just that, saying "I'm your favorite drag queen's favorite drag queen". And from all indications, that is absolutely true. The former Miss Continental winner and mother of Kerri Colby, Sasha Colby seems ready to absolutely dominate every phase of "RuPaul's Drag Race". Look out, because if anyone is giving winner vibes, it's Ms. Colby.

Spice & Sugar

Los Angeles, California
Insta: @callmespice & @sugarsworld

Already shaping up to be one of the biggest gags in "RuPaul's Drag Race" herstory, our first twin competitors are here. Sugar and Spice each have a distinct aesthetic, but they're best known for the Tik Tok videos they do together. They've amassed millions of followers, and if their promo looks are any indication, excellent runways are to be expected. We're excited to see if they have the performance skills to back it up. Either way, Sugar and Spice could provide a much-needed shake-up to "RPDR." We are ready!
