A Look Back at Lisa Rinna's Most Iconic Housewives Moments
Christopher Ehlers READ TIME: 6 MIN.
You know the saying: All good things must come to an end. But Lisa Rinna's eight seasons on "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" weren't just good, they were great. She was over the top but vulnerable, and part of what made her such an asset to the series was her willingness to call herself out just as much as she called others out. She sugarcoated nothing, stayed fiercely loyal to her friends, yet had no problem holding friends to the fire when they deserved it. Lisa Rinna is a national treasure, and if there was any justice in the world, she'd appear on the show until the end of time.
While we are still mourning the loss of one of reality TV's most lovable, hilarious, and – yes – real stars, let's take a look back at some of Rinna's most unforgettable moments.
Lisa Rinna vs. Kim Richards
If anyone I know could do this scene justice, I would like it to be performed at my funeral. In a scene that's only gotten better with time, Lisa Rinna smashed a glass on the table and lunged at Kim Richards after Richards insinuated that she knew something about Rinna's husband, actor Harry Hamlin. And this was only Rinna's first season on the show.
Her Erika Jayne Halloween Costume
When Kyle Richards threw a Halloween-themed birthday party for one of her daughters, Rinna nailed it by dressing like fellow castmate Erika Jayne. She took on her entire persona for the evening, and even excused some of her bad behavior by saying "it wasn't me, it was Erika speaking." Still, it was iconic.
Lisa Rinna vs. Yolanda Hadid
In Rinna's second season of the show, fellow housewife Yolanda Hadid chronicled her awful battle with Lyme disease. The ladies quickly grew tired of Hadid always complaining about her illness, and they began to question whether or not she was actually sick. In what wasn't one of her proudest moments, Rinna suggested – to the world – that Hadid had Munchausen syndrome, a disorder that causes people to believe they are physically ill when they are not. Rinna has since come around and admitted that what she did was wrong on many levels, but that doesn't make it any less iconic.
Lisa Rinna vs. Denise Richards
Despite Rinna and Richards being longtime friends before they both appeared on the show together, their relationship had taken a beating by the end of Season 10. It's hard to remember where it started, but Richards was angry that Rinna didn't publicly defend her after Richards was reported to have had an affair with former housewife Brandi Glanville. In short, Rinna thought Richards was lying, and so she decided not to blindly stand up for her lying friend. Like Rinna often does, she apologized for being so cruel to Richards, though – if you watch the show – Richards did come off like a shady liar.
Lisa Rinna vs. Kathy Hilton
This one's still a bit tender, especially if it has anything to do with why Rinna won't be returning next season. At the end of last season, Rinna was the sole witness to an alleged breakdown that Hilton had while visiting Aspen, one where she supposedly said terrible things about the other ladies, including her sister, Kyle. Rinna maintains that Hilton's behavior was disturbing, going as far as to call her the devil. Who knows what really happened in Aspen – the cameras weren't running – but her tiff with Hilton seems to be the straw that broke the camel's back.
