Forget the Golden Globes: Who Were the Top Winners at the GayVN Awards?

The Golden Globes were the big awards this past week, despite few watching them. But the adult male film industry honored their own this past Friday in Las Vegas with the 2023 GayVN Awards. The awards, which have been around since 1986, were sponsored by AVN Magazine.

Best Actor: Cole Connor, "Ride or Die: Raw Deal/Hard Time", Raging Stallion

EDGE earlier reported on Cole Connor: Daddy Cole Connor made headlines nearly a year ago when he was assaulted in West Hollywood. Best Actor — Featurette: Manuel Skye, "Boy Lust 3," MenAtPlay.com

Since his debut in 2018, Canadian daddy Manuel Skye has become one of the most sought after adult male performers in the industry. The bearded hunk has appeared in hundreds of scenes, one of which, "Boy Lust 3" from MenAtPlay, won him the Best Actor – Featurette GayVN. On Twiter, Skye describes himself as a "XXX Model Writer & Acrobat." He is in the process of writing a book, "7 Skyes Under." He recently updated his progress with it on the book's website: "I will be soon ready to submit the manuscript for its second round of edits! This is really good news, it's running smoothly and at a good pace. Meaning that we are on track for the release in spring 2023!"

Best Supporting Actor: Max Konnor, "Ride or Die: Raw Deal/Hard Time, "Raging Stallion

Recently made the list of most searched adult male performers. EDGE wrote of the muscular Max Konnor (aka Isaiah Foxx, Isiah Foxx, Xtreme), who began doing porn in 2009: The hung 36-year-old has amassed quite a fan base in the ensuing years. He is described at PornBase Central as "an American bisexual pornographic actor, television actor, personal trainer, director, producer, adult model and webcam model." He is a member of SAG and Actors Equity under the name of Clifford Ray Berry and has appeared in a number of television roles. He recently won Performer of the Year at the 2022 GayVN Awards. Best Newcomer: Drew Valentino

Drew Valentino has only been doing adult videos since 2021, but he beat a stiff field of 15 nominees for the Best Newcomer GayVN Award. A year ago he signed an exclusive deal with Falcon | Naked Sword. In a release at the time, the company wrote that he became part of the company through some industry peers.
