Watch: Harry Styles Acknowledges Privilege at the Brit Awards

Harry Styles took home four awards at the 2023 BRIT Awards held at the O2 Arena in London on Saturday night (11 FEBRUARY 2023). The show was hosted by Mo Gilligan and included an appearance from popular television presenter and radio DJ Maya Jama.
Styles took time to acknowledge his privilege while winning the award for Artist of the Year and went on to thank his mother, former One Direction bandmates and other female artists.
"Thank you so much. I'm really, really grateful for this, and I'm very aware of my privilege up here tonight. So, this award is for Rina, Charli, Florence, Mabel and Becky. Thank you so much," said the recording artist.
British indie rock band Wet Leg took the stage to accept their two awards for Best New Artist and Group of the Year with a poem. Band member Joshua Omead Mobaraki ended the speech with an expletive political message against the U.K.'s conservative party.
Other award winners included The 1975, FLO, David Guetta, Aitch, Beyonce, and Becky Hill.
