The Hottest Husbands of the 'Real Housewives'
Timothy Rawles READ TIME: 5 MIN.
When it comes to Bravo's "Real Housewives" franchise, viewers expect to get some drama in every episode. It's one of the reasons why the shows are so popular. Whether it be wild accusations built from second-hand gossip, or someone speaking ill of a cast member's family, these ladies are the hallmarks of sensational reality TV. It gets even juicier when their husbands get involved!
Thankfully, some of the housewives have good taste in men and we love when they get pulled into the storyline. Although they never fare well when they insert themselves into the mess, they are still the wives' confidants at home, and their cluelessness can give some levity to an already out-of-control shouting match.
Even though these hunks don't have a glam squad like their nuptial counterparts, they can certainly hold their own when it comes to looks. We have selected some of the "house" husbands who stand out in the franchise and take their place in the category of DILF.
Mauricio Umansky
One might consider Mauricio Umansky as the original hottie househusband. He's married to actress Kyle Richards who has been with "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" since the show's premiere in 2010. Richards knows that Mauricio, or "Mo" as she calls him, is a once-in-a-lifetime catch, she even converted to Judaism for him. This kind-hearted fellow is even-keeled with a great sense of humor. He is a great dad and a supportive spouse. But don't trigger his angry side.
Having plenty of experience in both real estate and reality TV, Mauricio signed on to do his own reality show, a real estate procedural called "Buying Beverly Hills." With one of the fittest dad bods on TV and that infectious smile, Umansky is one of the reasons people still watch "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills."
Eddie Judge
Perhaps second in line as an original househusband heartthrob is Eddie Judge, who is married to "Real Housewives of Orange County" star Tamara. She left the series in 2020 but announced her return for Season 17, which premieres later this year. That means viewers might get to see more of Eddie since he is partnered with Tamara in their CBD oil business.
Eddie keeps fit by working out, but it's his love of motorcycles and leather that gives him the edge. Whether it's cruising down the highway or scaling the rocky hillside in a motorbike, Eddie is the eye candy accompanying the tea served in "Orange County."
Harry Hamlin
The true meaning of the word "daddy" in all of its implications, Harry Hamlin was a sex symbol way before the Beverly Hills "Housewives" became a thing. He starred as the Greek god Perseus in the 1981 fantasy adventure "Clash of the Titans," and immediately after that as the lover to a closeted married man in the controversial-at-the-time movie "Making Love."
He is married to the outspoken housewife Lisa Rinna and has become a regular guest star on the Beverly Hills reality show. Like most of the husbands, Hamlin rarely gets involved with the gossip. Instead, he tends to the garden, mandates emergency fire drills, or makes homemade spaghetti sauce as gifts for the ladies. Currently, he is starring in the AMC+ horror series "The Mayfair Witches," and the movie "80 for Brady."
Todd Tucker
Husband to singer Kandi Burruss from the "Real Housewives of Atlanta," Todd Tucker met his wife while being part of the production team. Since then, he has become Kandi's sounding board for good advice when it comes to henhouse drama. The 49-year-old has no issues being upfront about his sexuality. His wife owns Bedroom Kandi, a line of sex toys and accessories. They posed for an Instagram photo in 2020 wherein Tucker is spanking Burress with a paddle in bed.
Doug McLaughlin
Married to former "Real Housewives of Orange County" star Lydia, Doug McLaughlin enjoys the luxuries of life, so much so that he started his own men's lifestyle magazine. Making casual appearances on the show, McLaughlin is usually in the background in some very snazzy clothing and spiked hair. On a 2017 episode of "Housewives," Lydia held a "balls voyage" party on a yacht for McLaughlin on the day before his vasectomy. This metrosexual gets sexiness points for being unapologetically dapper, maybe even more so than the ladies in the franchise.
Donnie Edwards
There is no shame in Kathryn Edwards' cougar game. She became a "Real Housewife" on the sixth season of "Beverly Hills." That's when she introduced her hunky and younger husband, Donnie. To be fair Kathryn is only 10 years Donnie's senior, and they both look amazing. The latter keeps in shape by doing yoga and seems to have retained the physique he had while playing in the NFL. He is rarely seen in the show, but when he does appear his stunning good looks always take focus away from whatever drama is going on in the background.
Kroy Bierman
Another househusband and football star, Kroy Bierman is the spouse to Atlanta legacy cast member Kim Zolciak (you remember "Don't Be Tardy for the Party"). Kroy has that sweet sensibility and down home persona. He has charisma for days which can be seen on the couple's own reality show "Don't Be Tardy" which ended after 8 seasons in 2020.
Russell Abaira
Guerdy Abaira's husband Russell is getting a little more airtime on the recent reboot of "The Real Housewives of Miami," but that isn't saying much because he appears to be the strong, silent type. Although Russell's social media presence is non-existent, his wife captures him in snaps taken for her event planning business. That being said, what we do see of Russell is enough for him to make this list.
Aaron Phypers
Denise Richards had a tumultuous time on her seasons of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills." From accusations of an extra-marital affair with former cast member Brandi Glanville to not wanting to bring her kids around the other housewives, she was often targeted as the distrustful outsider by some in the group. Even her sexy husband wasn't safe from the women's claws. He became the focus of their ire when he tried to over-mansplain how to communicate with each other.
It was annoying, especially when he went on an intellectual tirade about how cancer is actually good for you. However, objectively speaking, he has those rugged good looks and a confident demeanor that make him one of the sexiest husbands. And in the words of Denise herself on the show, "he has a very big penis."
