Broadway icon and "American Horror Story" veteran Patti LuPone let loose with some frank thoughts about Kim Kardashian joining the cast of Ryan Murphy's long-running horror anthology series for its upcoming 12th season.
Huffpost reported that LuPone, who starred in two seasons of the show, responded in no uncertain terms during an appearance on "Watch What Happens Live" when host Andy Cohen subjected her and fellow guest John Leguizamo to the show's Q&A game "Do They Give a Damn?"
"Although subjects like Taylor Swift's rumored break-up and Barbra Streisand's upcoming memoir failed to move the former 'Evita' performer, she was decidedly more animated when Kim's new TV venture came up in the conversation," Huffpost noted.
"Yes, I do!" LuPone gritted when Cohen posed the query.
"You don't like it, do you?" Cohen asked.
"No, I don't!" LuPone gritted again.
Agreeing that Kardashian is depriving actors of roles by taking such gigs – tantamount to saying Kardashian can't act – LuPone said acidly, "Excuse me, excuse me, Kim. You know, what are you doing with your life? Don't get on the stage, Mrs Worthington."
"The Mrs. Worthington dig was a reference to a Noël Coward song about a momager who shouldn't be putting her big-butted butterface of a daughter on stage," Vulture clarified.
Leguizamo didn't dare disagree. "Whatever she said, I double the emotion!" the comic declared, prompting laughter all around.
More strong feelings followed when Cohen asked whether his guests gave a damn about "someone pooping in the aisles of Broadway musicals, most recently near Hilary and Chelsea [Clinton] during 'Some Like It Hot?'"
"Yeah!" LuPone said, before the full meaning of the words sank in. Then, "No!" she gasped.
Leguizamo, too, was shocked. "That can't be true, man!" he exclaimed. "Who would do that?"
"Yeah, I give a damn about that," a saddened LuPone said.
