"Hamilton" and "Matrix Resurrections" star Jonathan Groff is coming to the Who-niverse in a "key role," Entertainment Weekly reported.

Groff, who most recently starred in "Knock at the Cabin," will be knocking at the door of the TARDIS alongside Ncuti Gatwa, who will lead the upcoming season as the Fifteenth Doctor. Not to mention Millie Gibson will co-star as his companion, Ruby Sunday, EW reports.

"This is an incredible coup, and a great honor, to get such a huge star striding on to our set," said Doctor Who showrunner Russell T Davies in a statement. "So strap on your space boots, this is going to be a blast!"

Variety reported that "RuPaul's Drag Race" winner Jinkx Monsoon is joining "Dr. Who" in a lead role as a villain. ""In a galaxy of comets and supernovas, here comes the biggest star of all. Jinkx Monsoon is on a collision course with the TARDIS, and 'Doctor Who' will never be the same again," showrunner Russell T Davies said.

"Dr. Who" has been on TV since 1963. The show will return in November with special 60th anniversary episodes featuring David Tennant and Catherine Tate. Then Tennant and Tate will hand the reigns off to Gatwa and Gibson, with Gatwa's first episode as the Fifteenth Doctor airing around the Christmas holiday.

"I am so thrilled to jump into the extraordinary mind of Russell T. Davies and watch the incredible Ncuti Gatwa soar in this iconic role!" said Groff.

Neil Patrick Harris is also set to appear in the 60th anniversary shows.
