Jittery Celebs Force Delay of Britney Spears Memoir

Anxious celebrities managed to stall the publication of Britney Spears' memoir by sending legal missives to the book's publisher, according to Page Six.
Spears' "brutally honest" "has been put on hold over concerns from some A-listers who know her," Page Six recounted, citing the U.S. Sun.
According to the Sun, Spears' publisher, "Simon & Schuster, received 'strongly worded legal letters' from those who fear what the 'Toxic' singer has written," and the book won't hit shelves until some as-yet undetermined time.
The Sun claimed that "legal concerns" arose "over claims she had affairs with two Hollywood stars."
"The book had been due out in February," The Sun noted, "but is now expected to come out at the end of the year."
"It will cover her controversial conservatorship, her marriage to her third husband – actor Sam Asghari, 29 – and other topics which she has never spoken about publicly," the outlet went on to say.
A source told The Sun that the memoir was an opportunity for the singer "to tell her side of the story and set the record straight," and suggested there would be juicy content.
"There's a fair amount of throwing people under the bus, talking about past relationships, some of whom will be revealed for the first time ever," the source said, before going on to say that the global star "had encounters with [people] who she managed to keep under the radar, including some massive film star names and people from the music world."
Given the price tag, the memoir likely won't be kept under wraps forever: The publisher shelled out about $15 million for her book, the account detailed. "Previously, she said online that she had 'written three different versions of my book and had LOTS of therapy through the process,'" The Sun relayed.
"Although the report didn't name names, Spears, 41, famously dated Justin Timberlake and was married to Kevin Federline," Page Six noted.
"Her wedding to Sam Asghari also featured plenty of A-list attendees, including Madonna, Paris Hilton, Selena Gomez and more," the tabloid added.
